had our breakfast at Toast Box and I had my usual Yuan Yang Siu Dai yay! :-)

Ate so much because… flight meal!!!!! Super yummy omelette and bacon + banana muffin!!!!! :-)

^ flight buddy

Finally arrived at Hong Kong International airport!!!!!!! Headed over to Shen Zhen straight away

***DISCLAIMER: most of the chinese names are traditional chinese because traditional chinese is used in HK and China :-)***

After checking into our hotel (Fu Rong Hotel 芙蓉兵官),
we headed to have some steamboat lunch located at a corner of our hotel!
Food was super good + it was hell cheap for how much we ate!!!

+ I found out that in China (not sure about other countries), you can mix and match different condiments for your sauce for the steamboat because apparently the locals dip the food into the sauce and the soup is just an extra, not like in Singapore where we have a bowl of soup with the ingredients inside! And also, learnt from my dad that when eating steamboats, the plate is for bones etc and not really to put the food HAHAHA yup not sure if he's completely right but it seemed like it!!!

華神龍火鍋城
Fumin Road, Futian, Shenzhen
天河区体育西路1号峰源大厦1-2楼

Our next stop was 羅湖商業城 and let me just say that the WHOLE building is mainly selling A grade imitation goods so if you're looking for branded bags/ laptop covers etc but you don't want to pay the full price of a few thousands, head over there!!! But I didn't get anything sadly because my dad refuses to buy any for me because he sees no point in carrying imitation goods *sobs*

羅湖商業城 (Luo Hu Commercial Centre)
廣東省深圳市羅湖區
10:00 - 22:00
Nearest MTR: Luo Hu

Walked over to get a train before heading to the dinner for some yummy porridge!!!!

Went to 金稻园砂锅粥 for dinner and we ordered Frog Leg + Turtle Porridge (i know it sounds very cruel but that's one of the recommended dishes and I promise I didn't eat any of the meat!!!!! except prawns), Bee Hoon, Chicken and Fish (sorry I don't know what they are called in Chinese/ English so it shall just be chicken and fish HAHAHA) Food was very good though, the porridge was SUPER fragrant and since it was cooked on the spot before serving, it was piping hot and fresh :-)

Day 2:

Woke up bright and early the next morning and headed to a cafe next to our hotel for breakfast
(forgot to take down the cafe name HEHEHE) had some wonton noodles + pineapple bun :-)

The nearest MTR to our hotel was Guomao MTR and we then took it to

(you can skip this next part if you wish to)

so, how did we end up in the security room filled with CCTV cameras? ? ?
so before the massage, my brother had 0% batt on his phone so he decided to leave his phone on the table by the TV with his wallet before he left for the massage parlor. Before our foot massage began he told me that he should have brought his phone because it was so boring doing nothing but then remembered he left it in the hotel room and not the locker. However, when we got back to the hotel room SURPRISE his phone was gone???????????
So we thought maybe he had remembered wrongly and have already lost it before returning back to the hotel after our shopping before leaving for massage again. BUT his last seen was 7:05pm, and I was 101% sure we were back in the hotel then because I sent out a message to Mei at 7:06pm.
So the only reason can be that he either dropped it on his way to massage (which was rather impossible because we would have saw the phone drop but it was raining very heavily so hmm) or that he was pick pocketed (which was more unlikely because the hotel was very near the massage parlor)
But he was PRETTY SURE (like double chop confirm) that he left it on the hotel before we left so we thought HMM did anyone enter the room to steal his phone??? (but not his wallet which had about money equivalent to $40 SGD??) so we called the reception and then a security guard came to escort my brothers and I down to check if anyone entered the room while we were at massage… BUT we didn't see anyone entering the room so up till now… PHONE MYSTERY???????????? DISAPPEARANCE?????? SO WEIRD???? Yeah HAHA till now we aren't sure what had happened to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(ok end)

headed down to the police station the next day to make a report HAHAAH what an end to our shenzhen journey hehe next post will be on my hong kong trip!!! :)
